After getting after him last week for using the lieutenant governor’s office largely as a self-promotional tool, the Chronicle fluffs Gavin Newsom’s pillow today. A (pay-walled) follow-up by editorial page editor John Diaz finds virtue in Newsom’s mantra that he has better things to do than hang out in Sacramento and engage in the political grind. Diaz pays a visit to the Newsom cubicle over at Founder’s Den (which, by the way, seems to be the place of choice for the Lite Guv to receive members of the press). The lede: “For Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, his office is where his iPad rests.”
