Hearst Anthropology Museum closes Sunday for a 2-year makeover

Thursday, June 28, 2012

Saturday will be your last chance to visit the Hearst Museum of Anthropology at UC Berkeley until sometime in 2014. Its display space in Kroeber Hall, where 1.7 million objects from its massive collection are housed, is getting an overhaul. During the down time, staffers and volunteers will also update the museum’s inventory, including photographing and digitizing much of the collection. You can read the news release.
