That’s one of the images in “Mannequin,” exhibiting the work of photographer/artist Lee Friedlander at the Fraenckel Gallery (49 Geary Street) through June 23. Friedlander roamed the streets of New York, LA and San Francisco to capture store window displays that reflect (figuratively and otherwise) society’s notions of sex, fashion and consumerism. More about the show at the gallery’s website; also, Kenneth Baker writes about it in the Chronicle.
