More drama at priest-beating trial: Judge clears courtroom

The trial of Will Lynch, the San Francisco man accused of beating up the Catholic priest that he says sexually abused him as a boy, had another strange plot twist this morning. Judge David A. Cena abruptly cleared the public from his San Jose courtroom. When spectators were allowed back in 15 minutes later, they got a lecture from the judge about having no contact with the jurors, says the Mercury News’ Tracey Kaplan. Said the judge:
"Don't even say, "So what do you think about the 49ers moving to Santa Clara?'''
