  • A basketball-size chunk of ice, presumably from an airplane, crashed through the roof of a house in Fremont. Chronicle
  • Edwin Ramos, 25, was sentenced to three life sentences to be served consecutively for the 2008 murders of Tony Bologna and his sons Michael and Matthew, who were gunned down in the Excelsior district. Chronicle
