Tom and Ray Magliozzi, aka Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers, are about to drive off into the sunset. They announced this morning that their Sept. 25 “Car Talk” show on NPR will be their last. It will also mark the 25th anniversary of the weekly show, NPR’s most popular program. Which explains why NPR doesn’t intend to take “Car Talk” off its air. It will continue the show with “repurposed material” culled from the giddy duo’s archives. AP
