Wonder which local politician was first to press flesh with President Obama this morning as he stepped off Air Force One at SFO? The answer: Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, a couple of seconds ahead of Mayor Ed Lee. For those in office betting pools who need verification, KTVU 2 has raw video. The photo is from another SFO presidential tarmac greet session. Newsom came in second in that one, just behind nimble state Attorney General Kamala Harris, but, we’re pretty sure, still ahead of Lee.
Add: The President is in town (two weeks after his last trip here) to hit up wealthy donors at a couple of quick stops before moving on to do the same in Los Angeles tonight.
