Looks like Assemblywoman and Neiman Marcus shoplifter Mary Hayashi is getting close to entering the race for Alameda County Supervisor in November. Steven Tavares at East Bay Citizen cites sources as saying Hayashi, who's termed out this year, has been calling local politicians to try and line up endorsements for the seat vacated by drug-and-sex-scandal-plagued former supe Nadia Lockyer. Former Union City councilman Richard Valle, Lockyer’s appointed interim replacement who plans to be on the ballot, said last week that Hayashi intends to run.
