Santa Clara County’s decision to yank $30 million in redevelopment funds promised for the 49ers new stadium may have the Niners and Santa Clara city officials seeing red. But it’s likely to be a public relations loser for Jed York and company if the Niners, as expected, pursue a legal remedy to get the county to cough up, even though redevelopment agencies went out of business in February. The county says it had rather spend $30 million on teachers than install “little televisions in the back of stadium seats.” In PR terms, game over. Mercury News
