Eliana Lopez may testify in person at ethics panel, her lawyer says

Friday, July 6, 2012

Looks like the wife of suspended Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi may testify in person before the Ethics Commission after all. Her attorney, Paula Canny, tells the Chronicle she expects her to return from Venezuela, where she’s been since March, and appear on her husband’s behalf July 18, a date she called tentative. Mirkarimi supporters are said to be soliciting private donations to pay for her airfare.
