Eliana Lopez: ‘To grab my arm is not domestic abuse’

Eliana Lopez finished her second and final day of testimony before the Ethics Commission considering her husband’s future as sheriff in dramatic, if expected, fashion. She once again defended suspended Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi as being unfairly maligned by Mayor Ed Lee’s efforts to oust him for official misconduct and insisted that the “one second” in which he famously grabbed her arm and bruised it did not constitute domestic abuse: “To grab my arm is not domestic abuse.” Chronicle; Mercury News
