Mice poop closes Fremont herb company

The Chronicle’s Will Kane says Fremont-based San Francisco Herb & Natural Food Company has been shuttered by health officials after a bunch of nasty stuff was discovered there:
The rodents were burrowing and nesting in containers of tea and spices, which the company sells in stores throughout California and on the Internet, [California Department of Health food safety official Pat] Kennelly said. Droppings were found everywhere in the 150,000 square-foot factory.
[Update: More details here from NBC Bay Area, which broke the story.]
