Health inspectors call and popular Berkeley ‘pop-up’ eatery ‘goes private’

Thursday, July 26, 2012

After a Berkeleyside piece about Rogue Café, the pop-up brunch place in an Ellis Street backyard, got the health department on the case, the weekend-only eatery’s owners say they’re going private. And what does that mean? If you want to enjoy their waffles, eggs and pork sausage using produce from the Farmer’s Market (you didn’t think it came from Safeway, surely), you’ll have to email the proprietors, Berkeleyside’s Tracey Taylor says.
