Ex-Wired contributing editor and, now, ex-New Yorker writer Jonah Lehrer, now that he’s joined the pantheon of plagiarists and fabulists rooted out of some of journalism’s most respectable haunts, is taking it on the chin today. As he should. (For those who haven’t heard, here’s catch-up from the NYT on Lehrer’s resignation after fabricating Bob Dylan quotes for his new book.) Easily the lowest swat, for my money, is David Daley’s piece at Salon, in which he interviews the infamously soiled Jayson Blair about Lehrer. Blair’s lede quote comparing Lehrer’s “work” to his own starts this way:
