Mary Hayashi’s hubris, as seen from afar

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Now that Mary Hayashi is in the race for Alameda County supervisor, she can expect a ton of coverage from media outlets that otherwise couldn’t care less about a Bay Area supe race, like this piece in the Orange County Register. The lede:

Strange but true: Hayward Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi, currently on probation for shoplifting, is running for the Alameda County Board of Supervisors seat vacated by Nadia Lockyer after the latter’s well-publicized sex scandal.

And you thought Orange County politics was nutty.
