Feds dole out big grant to Port of Oakland, jury selection starts in convicted murderer Hans Reiser’s civil trial, Pinterest officially moves to SoMa, more.
  • Jury selection began in the wrongful death civil case brought by the children of Hans Reiser, convicted in 2008 of murdering their mother, Russian émigré Nina Reiser, when she lived in Oakland. Oakland Tribune
  • The Port of Oakland is getting a $15 million federal grant to help it expand its rail yard. Oakland Tribune
  • A judge ruled that venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers can’t force junior partner Ellen Pao’s sex discrimination lawsuit to binding arbitration. Mercury News
