Back on June 19, an Alameda County judge cleared the way for Oakland Zoo’s controversial expansion at Knowland Park, ruling against environmental groups that sought to block it. The Mercury News’ Oakland Tribune edition posted a
story about it early yesterday (July 1) in which the ruling is described as having occurred “last week.” No further time element included. Well, better late than never, I guess.
Add: For a
next-day-account of the judge’s decision you would have to know about the Knowland Park Coalition’s blog. It posted a piece June 20. The photo is from the blog, showing a portion of undeveloped parkland that the zoo’s expansion will affect.
