USS Iowa, now ‘open’ in Los Angeles, gets the NPR treatment

iowa-towing-buscaino.jpgAfter being rejected by San Francisco, languishing for years in the mothball fleet at Benicia and fought over by competing groups who tried and failed to land it as a tourist attraction, the USS Iowa officially opened as a floating museum today . . . at the Port of Los Angeles. NPR takes note.
