Warriors’ Andris Biedrins under investigation for tax evasion

Looks like the Warriors’ big man, possibly the most overpaid bench-warmer in the NBA at $9 million a year, has more to worry about than a basketball career that’s turned south. A state prosecutor in his native Latvia has opened a criminal case against him for alleged income tax evasion, AP says.

Latvian media report that the 26-year-old player has already met with prosecutors to give evidence. Biedrins joined the Warriors when he was 18.

So far, the Warriors aren’t commenting.
