Looks like the National Park Service was slow on the uptake in perceiving the gravity of the hantavirus outbreak in its Curry Village tent cabins at Yosemite. Even after a third person died from the disease, rangers were on-camera early in the week showing off how they were disinfecting the place and using tape to keep mice, which spread the virus, from between the layered tent coverings. Now three more cases have emerged, and they’ve finally closed the place down. Chronicle
