Actor William Windom, 88, dies at his Marin home

The veteran actor who won an Emmy Award in 1969 for his role as a writer-cartoonist in the TV series “My World and Welcome To It,” has died at his home in Woodacre, just up the road from San Rafael. He was 88 and died last Thursday of congestive heart failure. Obit: LA Times
