Bright idea of the day: Recognize California’s lone grey wolf as ‘endangered’

This must be why they get paid the big bucks. State Fish and Game officials are saying that OR7, the lone grey wolf roaming in far Northern California—and the first one known within the state’s borders since the 1920s—should be considered a candidate for listing under the state endangered species act.
