That wasn’t just any taxi driver who hit and killed a father of three at Eddy and Larkin streets Aug. 11. Turns out the driver was Reza Eslaminia, a member of the notorious Billionaire Boys Club of the 1980s who was sentenced to life in prison in 1988 for the murder of his exiled Iranian dignitary father. (That’s him pictured from the murder trial.) He was released in the ‘90s after his conviction was overturned on a technicality. Zusha Elinson at The Bay Citizen writes about it.
