You might recall that when his 9th congressional district got redrawn, the Democratic congressman decided to leave Pleasanton (now outside it) and move to Stockton (now in it). Now GOP challenger Ricky Gill is making a fuss that McNerney still owns a house in Pleasanton and only rents in Stockton, calling him an “outsourced Congressman.” McNerney denies it and, as if to prove something, apparently plans to spend August in Stockton.
