Oops! San Mateo County court posts confidential PG&E settlement docs online

No one knows how it happened, but confidential documents from PG&E’s settlement with a teenage girl severely burned in the 2010 San Bruno pipeline explosion and fire got posted to the Internet. The source of the leak: San Mateo County Court.

The Mercury News, which reported it, isn’t revealing the girl’s name, but says the utility agreed to pay $1.8 million to the girl, plus another $677,000 in lawyers fees, and $19,400 in medical expenses.
