Those who caught Ann Romney’s speech last night at the GOP convention between Hurricane Isaac breakaways may have thought it a bit lackluster. Even former Reagan speechwriter and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan says that Mrs. Romney “missed an opportunity.”
Noonan, by the way, has a new blog to go along with her once a week WSJ op-ed column. Here’s a snippet about the relative lack of excitement on the convention floor, after the jump:
People are talking about how subdued the floor is. Normally Republicans in convention are whomp-’em, stomp-em full of cheers. They interrupt the speakers too much!

Anyway the floor is dead. The Romney campaign and the RNC should send out one of their alerts: Everyone, wake up!
