He calls himself Wave Vidmar, which means “to look over the sea,” blogs Durrie Lawrence at KQED. He plans to set off tomorrow for the 3,100-mile, two-month trip, which, if successful, will apparently be the furthest open-water solo kayak crossing in recorded history. And although he’s attempting it under an assumed name (no explanation as to why) he lets Lawrence take his picture. Go figure.
