About the ethics of those free 49ers tickets for the City Hall crowd

A while back NBC Bay Area reported on how San Francisco politicians have made out like bandits accepting free 49ers tickets thanks to a free ticket policy written into the Candlestick Park contract years ago. Now it seems at least some of the supervisors are rethinking where they stand on bling. The station’s “investigative unit” had a follow story over the weekend that includes a nice graphic showing where individual supervisors stand, 2011 versus 2012.

As noted here earlier, a Larry Bush post at CitiReport a week ago detailed how the biggest bling recipient for all entertainment, including the Niners, is Mayor Ed Lee, who raked in $35,952 worth of freebies from the start of 2011 through the end of August. The mayor says he gives his stuff away.
