There’s apparently a proposal to install gates to block after-hours access to those folks who like to defecate at the bottom of San Francisco’s BART station escalators. The problem, says a Chronicle Watch update, is that there’s no design, and no money, for the gates. But there is this cheery news:
When Chronicle Watch first exposed the story in July, five escalators in downtown San Francisco had stopped working. As of Wednesday, only two were down and both breakdowns have nothing to do with feces. . .
