Is the Chronicle switching to another content farm?

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

After swearing off using phony bylines in its real estate news provided by Journatic’s BlockShopper content farm, the Chronicle appears to be flirting with another content farm—Demand Media. The screen grab is from Craigslist Chicago via blogger Jim Romenesko. It’s a Demand Media ad seeking “nutrition writers” for the Chron, and “business experts” for Hearst sister paper the Houston Chronicle.

Here’s the link to the (SF) Chronicle nutrition writer casting call.

Says Romenesko: "You’ll notice that the 'To Apply, Click Here' links in the ads go to Demand Media’s site."
