An editor’s note in the Independent Journal says that delegate Patricia Ravitz of Novato is “reporting her observations” for the newspaper in Charlotte this week. Here’s the lede of her bylined story for the IJ about last night’s biggest speech:
When former President Bill Clinton walked out on stage Wednesday night, I put my pen and pad in my bag and let go of trying to capture the perfect turn of phrase or powerful statistic that would convey the message of this campaign.
I wanted to let that Clinton je ne sais quoi wash over me.
She goes on to report how at one point while listening to the former President, “tears ran down my face.”
