Chevron says that big white cloud above the Richmond refinery before its Aug. 6 fire was steam, whistleblower welder recants claims against PG&E pipelines, San Jose’s credit worthiness comes under more scrutiny, more.
  • There was a little rain and even thunderclaps were heard over the Bay Area Wednesday, but the system is expected to clear out soon. Mercury News
