A new survey commissioned by the police officers union shows Mayor Ed Lee’s popularity falling sharply, from a 60 percent-plus favorable rating a little more than a year ago to 49 percent now. But maybe more revealing is what it shows about the incredibly small universe of support claimed by candidates in those mini-fiefdoms better known as San Francisco’s supervisorial districts.
