Where to see Endeavour Friday morning

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

The retired Space Shuttle, piggybacked to a Boeing 747, is doing a number of victory lap flyovers before being permanently installed at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. Friday it’s the Bay Area’s turn. Endeavour will pass 1,500 feet over the Golden Gate Bridge at 8:30 in the morning, then buzz Moffett Field in Mountain View at about 9.

The Mercury News says the last of 2,500 parking passes for Moffett Field have been gobbled up already, and organizers are encouraging people to come as early as 6 a.m. via light rail and bus.
