Not much left at the former Willie Brown Jr. College Preparatory Academy in the Bayview after the bulldozers moved in last week. The Chronicle describes the scene today. Designated by the state as one of California’s worst schools, and with media reporting that little learning was going on there, SFUSD opted to shutter it rather than try reform.
The “solution”? New brick and mortar in the form of a $40 million science-and-music-centered school to rise on the site in three years.
