At City Hall, the Mirkarimi showdown gets underway

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

SF StateTalk about double headers. The Giants are in play at Cincinnati, and the Board of Supervisors is in session for what’s likely to be a long afternoon and night before deciding Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi’s fate. The Chronicle blogs that reporters are betting on how long it’ll last, six, eight or 10 hours. People are lined up forever waiting to speak during public comments. Mirkarimi and wife Eliana Lopez, who went on a hayride earlier in the day, are working the crowd, with bouncing young son Theo in tow.

My guess is 8 hours, give or take two.
