Big Game: Turns out this year it was between the schools’ newspapers

How lackluster was Stanford’s 21-3 win over Cal in Saturday’s (rare October) Big Game? Enough that the “Ink Bowl,” the traditional tag football game between the staffs of The Stanford Daily and The Daily Cal stole headlines from it.

The Daily Cal prevailed 21-7 and in today’s The Stanford Daily editor Billy Gallagher takes his rivals to task after one of its staffers tweeted insensitively about a Stanford staffer’s injury. But what apparently really irritated Gallagher was this piece by The Daily Cal’s Alex Wolinsky—belittling The Stanford Daily’s copy editors.
