Chris Daly turning out the lights at Buck Tavern

Monday, October 22, 2012

The Hayes Valley bar to which the former supervisor retreated as co-owner after being termed out in 2010 and which quickly became a progressive political hang-out, is closing. (Unless Daly manages a last-minute sale.) Last call: Halloween night, apparently.

Like Cheers without Ted Danson, its demise was fairly predictable. Daly hasn’t been regularly tending bar there since taking over as political director at SEIU Local 1021 late last year. SFist
