The war of words continues over San Francisco Roman Catholic Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone’s alleged snub of Episcopal Bishop Marc Andrus (pictured) at Cordileone’s installation ceremony last Thursday. Andrus has spread the word that he was denied a seat at the ceremony. Officials of the archdiocese say it isn’t so. They say Andrus showed up late—too late to march in during an interfaith procession—and that when they went to fetch him from a holding area, he’d left.
Today Virtue Online, which bills itself as “the voice for global Orthodox Anglicism,” weighs in. It quotes archdiocese spokesman George Wesolek as saying of Andrus: ”He wants a fight.”
