Gavin: Dissatisfied with state’s direction (under Jerry Brown)

From the marching-to-his-own-drummer department: As Gavin Newsom stumps the state sounding off on California’s future while holding down a gig as Current TV cable host, you’d almost think the guy who holds the office that he apparently covets—Jerry Brown—was from another party. From Glendora Patch, here’s a snippet from Newsom’s appearance at Cal Poly Pomona Tuesday, where he sounded a familiar theme, saying:

“I think the state needs to step up its game. I think the state needs to get back to the future business.”
