High-ranking ex-South Bay health official arrested on drug charges

Dr. Marvin Bonham, 61, who until recently was a high-ranking Santa Clara County medical administrator, has been charged with 18 felonies, including trading prescriptions for powerful drugs such as Oxycontin in exchange for cash and methamphetamines. He posted $1 million bail and is scheduled to make a court appearance tomorrow, the Mercury News says.
