Jack Welch can’t take the heat; quits at Fortune magazine

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Jack Welch has quit as a contributor to Fortune magazine after it ran an online piece detailing his record as a job destroyer during his 20 years as CEO of General Electric, during which time GE lost nearly 100,000 jobs. His retort: “I never put myself out there as an employment agency.”

Welch has taken withering criticism, even from conservatives, after accusing the Obama administration last week of faking the latest unemployment numbers. Here’s the piece from Fortune sibling CNNMoney.
