Police Chief Howard Jordan announced his intent to fire two officers, suspend 15, and demote one in the aftermath of alleged misconduct during Occupy protests. Twenty-six others would receive written reprimands. Jordan’s discipline recommendations this morning coincide with the long-anticipated release of an Internal Affairs investigation of police misconduct during the protests, and as a federal judge decides whether to place the department under federal control for its years-long failure to enact reforms.
