In a column-length correction, LA Times San Francisco bureau chief (and San Francisco resident) Maria L. La Ganga, apologizes after writing in a post-World Series piece that the Giants moved from Brooklyn, rather than Manhattan, lo those many years ago: “My brain and I have finally reconnected, thanks to an outpouring of emails (mostly gracious) and some online comments (much less so).”
Of course that was another California baseball team that moved from Brooklyn.
