Report: Larry Ellison sets his sights on Lakers, Kings . . . and NFL?

After overtures to buy the Warriors, and then the Memphis Grizzlies, does anyone believe the nation’s third-wealthiest man will not end up with a sports franchise to call his own? Maybe several, if the latest word out of Los Angeles proves correct. Reuters reports that Ellison is in the mix as a “potential” bidder for Philip Anschutz’ AEG Entertainment Group, whose properties include the Lakers and the NHL’s Kings, plus more. An excerpt:
One of the attractions for Ellison, the third wealthiest man in America who has previously tried to buy sports teams and failed, is that AEG would allow him to buy and relocate a National Football League team to Los Angeles.
