State parks scandal: Bay Area park’s big donor wants its money back

Will donors want to continue helping fund California’s state parks after the $54-million secret surplus scandal? Here’s part of the answer: the private Coe Park Preservation Fund, which gave the state $279,000 to help keep Henry W. Coe State Park south of San Jose open, is asking for its money back. The Bay Citizen’s Katherine Mieszkowski writes about it.
