That’s some first week calendar for new San Francisco archbishop

Salvatore Cordileone, 56, who’s best known for his leading role in opposing same sex marriage, is to be installed as San Francisco’s new Roman Catholic archbishop during a mass today. But as the last graph of an AP piece reminds, his first week on the job won’t follow the usual trajectory: He’s to appear in court Tuesday in San Diego on his driving under the influence charge.
