The Contra Costa Times, which publishes as an edition of the Mercury News—like others of the Merc’s Bay Area editions—doesn’t have enough reporters to fill its local news hole. So, in keeping with parent MediaNews Group’s practice elsewhere, it regularly publishes stale blog items that are sometimes a week or even two weeks old. Today’s latest insult to readers: a piece from reporter Josh Richman that first ran on Oct. 24 . . . about bets placed by California and Michigan pols over the then-upcoming World Series.
Really, folks, get a clue.
