What’s this? Five twisters in Central Valley in a single day—a record

The five tornadoes that touched down across the northern Central Valley and the Sierra foothills Monday set a single day state record, but no injuries were reported. The most tornadoes in Northern California in a single year? That would be 2005, the Sacramento Bee says—more than Oklahoma that year.
