CSU delays vote on so-called ‘super senior’ fees

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

That Cal State proposal to charge extra fees on course repeaters and students who take extra-heavy course loads has been yanked from this afternoon’s Board of Trustees agenda. The timing—a week after voters approved Prop 30—could hardly have been more clumsy. Gov. Jerry Brown, who announced yesterday he will attend today’s meeting, thanked the board for putting it off.

For the record, it appears Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who by virtue of being the Lite Gov is a CSU trustee, was the first politician with a press statement this morning.
